Importing Reviews from Another App

11 min read

Switching review apps does not mean starting from scratch. Your existing reviews are a valuable asset — months or years of customer feedback. Eevy AI supports importing reviews from all major Shopify review apps via CSV, preserving star ratings, review text, customer names, dates, photos, and videos.

This guide provides specific export instructions for Judge.me, Loox, Yotpo, Stamped, and Okendo, followed by the Eevy AI import process. The entire process typically takes 5-15 minutes.

Exporting from Judge.me

In your Shopify admin, go to Judge.me > Settings > Import/Export. Click "Export Reviews" and select CSV format. Judge.me will email you a download link (usually within a few minutes). The export includes all review data: product handle, rating, title, body, reviewer name, email, date, and photo URLs. Eevy AI's importer automatically maps Judge.me's CSV columns, so no manual column mapping is needed.

Exporting from Loox, Yotpo, Stamped, and Okendo

Loox: Go to Loox dashboard > Settings > Export. Select "Export all reviews" and download the CSV. Yotpo: In the Yotpo dashboard, go to Reviews > Moderation, click the export icon, and choose CSV. Note that Yotpo may limit exports on lower-tier plans. Stamped: Go to Stamped dashboard > Reviews > Export, select CSV format. Okendo: Navigate to Okendo > Reviews > Export Reviews, select your date range ("All time"), and download. Eevy AI automatically detects the source format and maps columns accordingly.

Preparing Your CSV for Import

Open your CSV and do a quick check: make sure the file is not empty, verify that product handles match your current Shopify products (especially if you have changed URLs since the reviews were collected), and remove any test or spam reviews. Required fields: product handle (or product ID), rating (1-5), review body, and reviewer name. Optional fields: review title, email, date, photo URLs, and video URLs.

Running the Import in Eevy AI

In the Eevy AI dashboard, go to Settings > Import Reviews. Click "Upload CSV" and select your file. Eevy AI will parse the file and show you a preview: total reviews found, matched products, and any rows that could not be mapped. Review the preview, resolve any mismatches, and click "Import." For stores with 1,000+ reviews, it may take a few minutes. Imported reviews immediately appear in your review sections.

Verifying the Import and Deactivating Your Old App

Spot-check a few products to verify reviews imported correctly. Check that star ratings are accurate, review text is intact, and photos display properly. If reviews are missing, check Settings > Import History for details on skipped rows. Once verified, deactivate your old review app in Shopify Admin > Apps. Make sure you disable any old theme blocks first. If you used the old app for collection emails, set up Eevy AI's review collection before deleting so there is no gap in your post-purchase flow.
